TMT and KAPSCH TRAFFICCOM joint venture

On the 1st October 2007 Kapsch TrafficCom AB, a subsidiary of the KAPSCH Group, and Traffic Management Technologies (TMT) formally formed a Joint Venture aligning their individual interests in the implementation and integration of Open Road Electronic Toll Collection and related opportunities within South Africa.

TMT is a black empowered company focusing on the development and operation of transport systems. TMT’s dedicated staff of over 200 provide transport related systems and services to 30 public sector authorities across South Africa, including national, provincial and local authorities.

KAPSCH is the leading international supplier of ETC technology and solutions and has identified in South Africa a significant market potential for Open Road Tolling Solutions (ORT) and other related road-tolling opportunities, both for governmental and private clients.
