Public Transport Operations

For our public transport solution we have used a unique approach. Our integrated ticketing solution establishes a benchmark for South African best practice. The system offers flexibility in terms of modes and types of journey covered, so that the scheme meets the needs of as large a customer base as possible. We promote operator buy-in through strong leadership and administration arrangements that are viewed by all participating operators as fair. The solution is supported through active marketing to promote consumer support.

The fare management system is underpinned by an integrated intelligent transport system which is effective in encouraging public transport patronage and modal shift. The ITS system comprises vehicle and driver monitoring in real times, supported by an array of consumer interfaces.

TMT’s multi-modal, integrated fare management and automatic vehicle location (AVL) system will enhance  public transport operations by:
